Faculty Lounge

The Faculty Lounge is a place where the teachers at Quilt University gather to share their thoughts, problems and solutions.

This page contains a brief overview for prospective teachers.  We have tried to provide some basic guidelines about teaching online in Tips for Success.  There is also a forum for teachers only.  When you join the faculty, you will receive your password.

Teachers pay a small annual fee to join the faculty and then a percentage of their tuition to QuiltUniversity.com.  The staff will put your lessons into the proper format and handle all technical considerations.

Class content must be original.  In other words, if you are teaching a project or technique that is from a book, you must be the author.  Students cannot be required to purchase the book.

Why Should You Teach Online?

Currently, we have 40 teachers on the faculty and over 120 classes.  We are not looking for any basic technique or simple project classes at this time.

Please look at the catalog page to be sure that the class you propose is not already being taught.  If you still believe that your class would fit into our curriculum and would like more information about becoming a faculty member at QuiltUniversity.com, send an email to .  Include your qualifications and your teaching specialty.  It is essential that you include at least one graphic of your work.
